Pumpkin and Lantern Acrylic Painting Class

Join us on Wednesday evening, October 2nd, from 6-8:30 PM, for our monthly acrylic class with artist Kim Valentine! This is a beginner-level class for ages 16 through adult. Cost is $35 General ($30 Nash County Arts Council Members) - Supplies provided. Registration deadline: September 27th. The North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, supports this project. www.NCArts.org

Fall Festival

Come join us for our outdoor Fall Festival at Sandy Cross Methodist Church at 6pm! We'll have a candy caravan, our traditional cakewalk, as well as free dinner! Cakewalk tickets will be $1 per round to raise funds for church ministries. Costumes for children are welcome, but certainly not required!

22nd Annual Hobgood Harvest Festival

The Town of Hobgood celebrates the area's largest cash crop each year on the second Saturday in October with the Hobgood Cotton Festival. This event features a day of fun and festivities. Start your day with a stroll through the town. Visit the arts and crafts vendors, eat lunch at one of the tempting food vendors on site, go on the cotton trailer ride, enjoy games/activities for the kids, and listen to live musical entertainment.

Books & Boos- Adult Book Fair

Join us for Books & Booz, an adult book fair at Larema Beverage from 6-9pm on 10/25! A night full of bookish fun, we'll have a used book sale, bookish vendors, & an open mic night. Come grab a new book, grab a beer (or other beverage) & support MOSS Kids Book Project, a children's literacy nonprofit working to bring new books to the twin counties. All used book sale proceeds go towards MOSS Kids Book Project initiatives.
