Business Development Representative

About the Role 

The Business Development Rep is an entry to mid-level role focused on building grassroots sales relationships within the community. From specialty retailers to churches and local institutions, this role plays a key part in getting our products into new hands. Reporting directly to the President, and eventually the VP of Sales, the Business Development Rep will own their domain and collaborate closely with leadership to tell our story, grow revenue, and help scale our mission to Revive Communities Through Food.

Qualifications 

· Sell market products, fresh produce, and value-added items to retailers, markets, and other institutions.


· List building through online tools and cold calling.


· Promote seasonal campaigns (e.g. pumpkins to churches and schools).


· Execute on-site product demos and sampling initiatives.


· Capture customer data and relay feedback to the sales and product teams.


· Support market research for emerging trends in local commerce.


Qualifications:


· 1–2 years of customer-facing sales or retail experience.


· Energetic, self-starter with excellent communication skills.


· Comfortable making cold calls and door-to-door sales visits.
