In Nash County, Braswell Family Farms, a fourth-generation family-run company, is starting a significant expansion that should boost the local economy, provide new jobs, and improve farms. With the purchase of a facility in the Nashville Business Center next to Highway 64, the Nashville-based egg and feed manufacturer is making a major investment in the neighborhood it has long called home.
The recently acquired structure will be transformed into a cutting-edge warehouse and cooler, allowing Braswell Family Farms to increase its capacity for processing eggs and optimize operations. This development occurs at a time when the business is committed to expansion and innovation while upholding its core values of helping families and providing for its staff.
“We’re so thankful to continue to plant roots in Nash County, and by God's grace, we have opportunities to expand our business,” said Trey Braswell, president and CEO of Braswell Family Farms. “This is a key step in our future growth plans.”
Up to 26 new jobs are anticipated to be created in the region as a result of the development, providing possibilities for a variety of occupations and bolstering the county's workforce. According to Nash County officials, this news highlights the area's appeal for corporate development and its long history of agriculture.
“We are thrilled to see Braswell Family Farms continue to grow right here in Nash County,” said Wayne Outlaw, chairman of the Nash County Board of Commissioners. “This expansion not only brings new jobs and economic opportunity to our area but also highlights what we already know, Nashville is a great place to do business, and to call home.”
Nashville Mayor Brenda Brown echoed the sentiment: “Nashville is grateful for all that Braswell Family Farms, a fourth-generation family-owned business, has done for our community. We are excited about their continued growth, bringing new jobs and investment to town.”
Since its founding in 1943, Braswell Family Farms has expanded to rank as the second-largest Eggland's Best franchisee in the US and a top manufacturer of value-added private-label egg products for retailers across the country. Delivering premium eggs and feed while upholding strict ethical and biosecurity standards is how the company has established its name.
In addition, the new facility will improve Braswell's biosecurity procedures, guaranteeing that the business can keep offering consumers in North Carolina and beyond fresh, reasonably priced eggs. A key component of Braswell's ideology is its emphasis on food safety and innovation.
The Braswell family has a long history of being a pillar of the local farming community and has strong links to Nash County. "To feed the body and the soul while building eternal relationships for God's glory" is the company's guiding mission, which it continues to uphold as it grows.
