Local Restaurants, Local Impact, One Important Day

Tomorrow is a chance for our community to do something simple that can make a real difference: go out to eat.

On Thursday, March 19, local residents are invited to take part in Dine Out for Communities in Schools Rocky Mount Region by visiting one of the many participating restaurants across Rocky Mount, Nashville, Sharpsburg, and Tarboro. When diners support one of these locations, a percentage of their check will be donated to Communities in Schools Rocky Mount Region to help serve local students and families.

That means breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or even a quick stop for takeout can become something much bigger. It is an easy way for families, coworkers, church groups, and friends to enjoy a meal together while also investing in the future of children right here in our community.

Communities in Schools Rocky Mount Region works every day to surround students with the support they need to stay in school and succeed in life. Dine Out gives the public a direct and meaningful way to be part of that mission. There is no ticket to buy and no extra step to take. Just choose a participating restaurant tomorrow, place your order, and know your meal is helping local students.

This year’s participating restaurants offer plenty of options for every taste. In Rocky Mount, diners can support restaurants and businesses including Barley and Burger, Chew ‘n Chat, Chick-fil-A, Goat Island Bottle Shop, Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi, Larema Coffee House, Mario’s Pizza, Meet & Bread Company, Mixers Kocktail Bar, The Honey Baked Ham Company, The Tipsy Tomato, Tokyo Express, and Westridge Grill.

Participating restaurants also include Ribeye’s Steakhouse and Hardee’s Restaurant in Nashville, Hardee’s Restaurant in Sharpsburg, and in Tarboro, Abrams B-B-Q of Tarboro and Ribeye’s Steak and Oyster Bar.

What makes Dine Out so special is that it brings together everything that makes a community stronger: local restaurants, local generosity, and local impact. Supporting these businesses tomorrow does more than fill tables and drive-thrus. It helps Communities in Schools continue its work with students who need encouragement, resources, and caring adults in their corner.

So tomorrow, make the choice to dine with purpose. Grab breakfast before work. Meet a friend for lunch. Take the family out to dinner. Pick up takeout on the way home. However you choose to participate, your meal can help change a student’s story.

Eat local. Give local. Make tomorrow count.
