Twin Counties, It’s Time to Walk for Heart Health
Grab your walking shoes! The 2026 Twin Counties Heart Walk is happening this Saturday, bringing our community together for a morning centered around heart health, awareness and making a difference.
The walk will take place Saturday, September 26 at North Carolina Wesleyan University, with the event beginning at 10 a.m.
Organized by the American Heart Association, the Heart Walk is an opportunity for friends, families, businesses and organizations to come together in support of the fight against heart disease and stroke.
Here in the Twin Counties, local organizations are already getting involved.
But Heart Walk is about more than fundraising. It’s a chance to walk alongside survivors, remember loved ones and encourage healthier lives throughout our community.
The American Heart Association's work across North Carolina includes efforts to improve access to care and healthy food, provide CPR resources in schools, support blood pressure education and promote healthier living.
Whether you're walking for yourself, someone you love or simply to support a healthier community, Saturday is a chance to get moving for a meaningful cause.
