Rocky Mount, get ready for a night of high-energy country and Southern-rock flair as Chandler James & The Banned take the stage at The Dunn Center on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 7:30 PM! This performance is part of The Dunn Center’s 2025-26 season of live shows and community entertainment.
A Nash County, North Carolina native and Nashville recording artist, Chandler James has built a reputation for blending classic country with outlaw edge, Southern rock, and hints of blues — drawing inspiration from artists like Chris Stapleton and Brent Cobb.
James’s journey from small-town North Carolina to Music City includes recording at legendary studios, performing at iconic Nashville venues, and representing his home state as the first-ever Got to Be NC Ag Star, touring to promote North Carolina agriculture through his music.
The Dunn Center, located on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount, is one of Eastern North Carolina’s premier cultural venues, hosting a variety of concerts, theatrical productions, and community events throughout the year.
