One of the best parts of the holiday season is seeing all the decorations up around town. It provides a sense of warmth and community as we embrace the enjoyment of the season together.
Today weโre highlighting some great Christmas light displays around the Twin Counties.
๐The city of Rocky Mount has some lovely decorations along Main Street and near the Event Center. Rocky Mountโs Downtown Development Office hosted a decoration competition with the city announcing the winner on Thursday:
๐Solomonโs Farm at 125 Sunset Ave.
๐You can see pictures from all participants here.
๐The Rocky Mount Mills also have nice Christmas decorations to enjoy, and on your way in or out you can drive through the nearby City Lake Park to enjoy the lights there.
๐The Vitale Christmas Light Show in Rocky Mount features a wonderfully decorated home and yard with music synchronized to the lights. You can walk through a path to get a closer look at the lights and decorations. From 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 23 they are also giving away free hot chocolate to visitors (weather permitting). While there you can make a donation to assist several local charities. This is one of the best-decorated homes in the area. Visit the Vitale Christmas Light show at 7952 Bridgeview Rd in Rocky Mount.
๐Downtown Nashville has some lights and decorations as well. The town of Nashville recently announced the following winners in their Christmas decoration contest:
