One of the best parts of the holiday season is seeing all the decorations up around town. It provides a sense of warmth and community as we embrace the enjoyment of the season together.
Today we’re highlighting some great Christmas light displays around the Twin Counties.
🎄The city of Rocky Mount has some lovely decorations along Main Street and near the Event Center. Rocky Mount’s Downtown Development Office hosted a decoration competition with the city announcing the winner on Thursday:
🎄Solomon’s Farm at 125 Sunset Ave.
🎄You can see pictures from all participants here.
🎄The Rocky Mount Mills also have nice Christmas decorations to enjoy, and on your way in or out you can drive through the nearby City Lake Park to enjoy the lights there.
🎄The Vitale Christmas Light Show in Rocky Mount features a wonderfully decorated home and yard with music synchronized to the lights. You can walk through a path to get a closer look at the lights and decorations. From 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 23 they are also giving away free hot chocolate to visitors (weather permitting). While there you can make a donation to assist several local charities. This is one of the best-decorated homes in the area. Visit the Vitale Christmas Light show at 7952 Bridgeview Rd in Rocky Mount.
🎄Downtown Nashville has some lights and decorations as well. The town of Nashville recently announced the following winners in their Christmas decoration contest:
🎄404 E. Church Street for Best Religious Display
🎄1821 Aspen Court for Best Themed Display
🎄400 S. Boddie Street for Best "Clark Griswold" Display
🎄704 S. Creek Drive for Best "Anything Goes" Display
🎄The Tarboro Town Common has some lights and decorations up, and several of the beautiful historic homes downtown are decorated as well.
